Tonight is Girls Doing Girls!

For any girls wishing to come out for the ladie’s night WOD, it will be kicking it off at 5:30pm. Dinner will be at Saigon 88 with bowling, drinkies, and shenanigans to follow. If you can’t make the WOD but want to join in on the night out, or vice versa, you’re more than welcome to! Keep in mind that it will be blazing hot today, so come hydrated and dress lightly! Hope to see you girls there!

  3. hang power cleans… another thing added to my practice list on open gym. 95lb, 135lb, 155lb-fail, 150lb-fail, 145lb-fail, 140lb, 140lb!!! 53lb farmers walk, 2 sets of unbroken push-ups, last set broken sets of 10. great wod! makes you think about the movements more than the amount of weight.

  4. hang power cleans….55 lbs, 65 lbs, 75 lbs, 80 lbs(failed), 75 lbs, 75 lbs. 70 lbs farmers walk, push-ups broken-up. Arms and shoulders are like noodles!

  5. Worked out with Drew this morning…I did as follows.

    Part 1: 5 Rounds Of:
    5 Power Cleans 155#
    5 Bench Press 160#
    *Rest 3Min
    Part 2: 100 KB Swings 53#
    100 Double Unders
    *Rest 1Min
    Part 3: Weakness Work
    Ring Dips
    Did part 1 in just over 6min…bench got heavy fast…part 2 in about 7min. Volume is now up…the time is NOW!

    Part 1: 185# clean and 160# bench in 4:30

    Part 2: somewhere around 7 as well..dont really remember time, only remember my forearms tried to go on strike for a bit after

    Part 3: OH Squat work: 30 reps @ 95#..actually starting to get somewhat comfortable with these sons of b!$#es…did 50 ghd sit ups as well (surprise, surprise)

    Hang power cleans: 50-55-60-70-75-85(f)-80

    This is a PR for me but it’s worth noting that it was the ugliest clean I’ve ever done. I felt like I was doing the limbo..I pretty much danced under the bar one elbow at time. But. I got under it! Woo.

    Looking forward to coming back in for the WOD later. :)

  8. I did the coach t/frost WOD today:

    Part 1: 185# cleans and 185# bench. Around 9 min
    Part 2: kettle bell swings hurt. Plus 100 dbl unders. Didn’t time. Took a long time
    Part 3: one snatch into 5 ohs at 95# for 3 rounds

    ran one mile.
